UFC 222, taking place Saturday, March 3, features ESPN’s No. 1 pound-for-pound female fighter Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino facing top prospect Yana Kunitskaya for the featherweight belt. Cyborg (19-1) has not lost since her professional debut in 2005 and is coming off a unanimous decision win against Holly Holm at UFC 219 in December. Kunitskaya, the bantamweight champion of Invicta Fighting Championship, most recently defeated Raquel Pa’aluhi by unanimous decision.
In the co-main event, former UFC champion Frankie Edgar (22-5) takes on fast-rising Brian Ortega in the featherweight division. The last time Edgar competed against a top young fighter — last May against Yair Rodriguez — he dominated him. Will he do the same against Ortega, an elite Jiu-Jitsu specialist who has not lost in 13 professional fights?
Who will come out on top?
